The Altar of Venus: An Artwork of Critique and Beauty
Through its exhibition presence, "The Altar of Venus" becomes a focal point for the critical exploration of themes related to equality, women's emancipation, and the redefinition of roles in contemporary society. "The Altar of Venus" is a piece that urges the viewer to reflect on the challenges faced by women in overcoming social conventions and to explore the concepts of power and patriarchy in gender dynamics.
The combination of different mixtures, pigments, and oxides makes this artwork harmonious and unique, ideal for any type of environment, modern or classic, like an old colored terracotta.
Distinctive Features
The small vulva on the headdress, a symbol of fertility, was made in 925 silver through lost-wax microfusion. The figure is made of non-toxic hydro resin and rice husk recovered from rice processing, while the frame is painted aluminum. The artwork can be easily hung on the wall thanks to the hole on the back or placed on a surface.
